| I have a weird and big day planned in which I must concentrate on. In case you don't know, it is very hard for me to sit still in a spot for over an hour. It's almost like "if I am here, I have to be there" kind of thing. There are so many things running in my head that I feel like I need to do them all at once. Calista once told me that it's like ADD but I'm not sure. The only time I can really sit down for a period of time is with a good friend or a great book. Speaking of good books, I found one! Oh, man. This is big. Okay, when I was a freshman in college, I did a 23 page report on the pornography industry. It was quite good and just somewhat fun to do. Things get old after a while, ya know? Repetition of the same thing over and over can make even the most interesting things dull. That thing was called "The Meese Commision's Report On Pornography." It had every weird description over millions of pornographic movie known to man in the 80s. Oh, you should have heard a suit and tie guy describe blowjobs and watching women pee on penises. The words these people used were so out of sorts. Anyway, I found this book that talks about the pornography industry that pretty much started in the 50s and ends in the present. The book was published in the late 90s so its not completely up to date. The point is that I want to read an account of how it all began and where porn has ended up to that point. When I did my essay, it was interesting to find how porn was hidden in the back rooms, made its way to seedy theaters, and now is available anywhere. The times in the 70s were weird in how people stayed close together for fear of being prosecuted. Now, there isn't much worry since almost everyone is after Larry Flynt, publisher of Hustler, more than others. This book, The Christy Report, is huge so it's gonna take me a long time to read all this. It will be different reading a report from someone that appreciates porn over the suits. I still think 70s porn is hilarious and belongs in the comedy section of video stores. The titles alone will cause quite a few laughs (Edward Penishands, Star Whores, Pokahotass, On Golden Blonde, etc.) So, I also have The Ring and Ringu on DVD to watch sometime today. I want to see just what all the fuss is about these movies. It takes a lot to get me scared so I say bring it on! The Ring and Ringu are the same movie. Ringu is the Japanese version that the American one copies. We'll see........ Well, I'll try to be back later....if I'm not too scared to get up. 0 Got Balls? |
