| It's kind of fun coming across your past when you least expect it. Here I was laying on the floor putting my CDs in a big booklet and looking at what lay before me: Debbie Gibson's Greatest Hits, Heart, Roxy Music, Paula Abdul, Basement Jaxx, and so on. It was a pile of around 150 CDs that needed a home instead of on my floor in back of my pampasar chair (cleverly hidden). Okay, I admit that I am a bit of a neat freak. It was bugging the hell out of me that my CDs were laying there for so long since I got rid of that piece of furniture earlier this year. It held around 130 CDs so I needed something eventually. Next thing you know, I am in Best Buy (my 3rd home other than the gym)to look for a big book to hold them. I got one that holds 138 but I misjudged the amount. 30something are still looking for homes. Damn my miscalculations. Now I have to get a small book later on to finish the job. The reason I mention that I come across my past in all these CDs is that songs hold memories for me. I didn't know I had a Black Sabbath CD yet it made me wonder about the old days of Ozzy (oh, he looked different then). I found my Men At Work CD that reminded me of Newman and his obsession with that group. I loved them as well. Each song on a CD just takes me back to better times when my room was always playing something. The one CD that took so long to leave the player was Teaching Ms. Tingle soundtrack with the Sozzi song "Cry You Out Of Me." I absolutely love that song! "My heart's been beating all day... Like I've been running away. Feels like I'm waiting for nothing. I float on a line." Yeah, I miss MTV videos where integrity meant something. Life wasn't based on who had what but just fun and trying something new. I feel lucky to have lived during that period of time to hear The Bangles, The Clash, and see videos that could not stand the test of time. Hell, they were fun to watch, though! Since I have been sitting on my ass putting things away, my time has not been on finishing my notes on pornography. The problem is that I really want to make a good entry on it. In some ways I respect porn but in other ways, I really hate how extreme it has gotten. There are things that upset me such as smashing a girl's head in a toilet as a guy does her doggy style. Even porn actors and actresses of the 70s find porn to be very offensive nowadays. I promise to do something soon. There has been a few other thoughts in my head soon to explode so who knows........ 0 Got Balls? |
